Function : To manage a program promoting client's academic, personal and social growth and maturation in a home environment, promoting increased independence, in compliance with the WAC, DSHS, HUD, and Title XIX regulations and policies of Camelot Society as applicable.

Primary Responsibilities :

1. To supervise Individual Support Counselors (ISCs) and Lead ISC :

  • To insure familiarity with Camelot Society's Personnel Policy Manual and other relevant Policies and Procedures.
  • To delegate and monitor job related tasks.
  • To encourage and facilitate teamwork and staff morale.
  • To provide ongoing training for staff.
  • To meet regularly with staff to discuss new concepts.
  • To discuss strengths and weaknesses of performance. To administer staff disciplinary action when necessary, in conjunction with Program Administrator approval, and subject to Camelot Society policies and procedures.
  • To schedule staff hours, record compensatory time, and to arrange necessary coverage for all shifts in conjunction with the Leads. Covering shifts as necessary. To be on-call and available as needed.
  • To review and ensure accuracy of staff time sheets.

2. To assist the Special Projects Coordinator, as needed, with the hiring process for ISCs and Leads :

  • To advertise positions available. To screen and interview applicants.
  • 3. To maintain documents in personnel records :

  • To update personnel records.
  • To periodically record current status in regard to staff development, certification, recommendations, disciplinary actions, performance evaluations, and other pertinent data.
  • 4. To participate in the development of Person Centered Service Plans (PCSP) and Individual Instruction & Support Plans (IISP). To provide relevant information regarding client's progress at annual PCSP meeting.

    5. To establish and maintain records required by regulations and Camelot Society policies.

    6. To monitor correct implementation and documentation of IISP, Positive Behavior Support Plan (PBSP), nutritional programs, and other efforts designed to improve quality of life.

    7. To schedule, as needed, client appointments such as medical, dental, psychiatric, psychological, among others.

    8. To monitor documentation of mileage and vehicle maintenance. To verify all drivers meet Camelot Society requirements.

    9. To identify the need for maintenance of the home(s), grounds, household appliances, equipment, furnishings, etc.

    10. To manage the financial matters of the clients as well as petty cash, charge accounts, and requests for reimbursements.

    11. To establish and maintain individual client accounts and to reconcile these accounts on a regular monthly schedule according to Agency policies and procedures.

    12. To ensure availability, proper storage, and monitor the use of food supplies as indicated by federal, state and health department regulations.

    13. To attend conferences, seminars, and workshops to enhance the planning and maintenance of effective programs.

    14. To meet regularly with other program managers in order to share information and to otherwise foster the goals of Camelot Society. To serve on at least one committee.

    15. To establish and maintain relationships with each client's parents and / or guardians, advocates, school and vocational training personnel and consultants.

    16. To establish and maintain positive relationships with the local community.

    17. Other duties as assigned by the Program Administrator.

    Preferred Qualifications :

    1. A bachelor degree in human services or a related field and one year experience working in the human services field, or three years of providing direct service to people with developmental disabilities.

    2. Demonstrated supervisory abilities and knowledge of social service delivery system.

    3. Ability to plan, organize, and coordinate schedule, meetings, etc.

    4. Knowledge of and ability to comprehend and comply with federal, state and county regulations and guidelines; and to communicate this intent to the employees being supervised.
