Seeking a full-time or part-time front desk clerk to join the Guest Services Team at our year-round Cape May, NJ motel (potential for year-round positions with insurance and 401K benefits). The candidate should have at least 1 years experience working in a hotel/motel customer-facing environment. Our valued desk clerks operate in a professional, customer-service driven team environment with an emphasis on providing the best possible guest experience.

The position requires computer proficiency, with experience in Excel. Must be available to work weekends and holidays, in-season, with schedule flexibility. Experience with a reservations management system is strongly preferred. The team member may also be responsible for opening and/or closing the front desk office for the day.

Front Desk Clerk duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Taking guest reservations and accurately recording all information
  • Answering phone calls and managing customer and guest inquiries and requests
  • Managing guest check-ins and check-outs
  • Handling registration paperwork and filing in an organized manner
  • Keeping office organized and tracking office inventory
  • Keeping front desk and lobby area clean (e.g. keeping rack brochures and menus current)
  • Conducting guestroom and property tours
  • Understanding all offered room types, amenities, property policies, etc.
  • Communicating effectively with managers, escalating any issues or guest complaints.
  • Working alongside motel manager, housekeeping and maintenance staff to assist in efficient and effective motel operations.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
