Here’s a taste of what your day might look like:
Your Core Responsibilities
- Perform routine building maintenance- HVAC, plumbing, electrical, life-safety systems, and other key equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair things like leaks, electrical issues, and general mechanical problems
- Jump on maintenance requests with a positive attitude and excellent customer service
- Set up and break down rooms for meetings and events - tables, chairs, you name it
- Complete preventive maintenance tasks like system checks and visual inspections
- Keep clear, accurate notes on work orders, inspections, and any repairs you complete
- Keep an eye on building systems and report anything that looks off
- Maintain clean, safe, organized work areas
- Support team with projects or facility upgrades- working alongside vendors or contractors
- Follow all safety rules (we’re serious about safety!) and use the proper PPE
- Keep learning! Stay up to date with building systems and maintenance best practices
- Assist with snow or ice removal when needed
- Knowledge of BAS, UPS, ATS, & generator systems
- Great communication with the team, vendors, and other departments
- Use a computerized work-order database to complete and close assignments
- Occasionally, take after-hours emergency calls
- Be open to overtime when needed
What We’re Looking For:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 3 years of experience in building maintenance, facilities operations, or similar hands-on roles
- Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
- Great customer service - you communicate well and stay professional under pressure
- Self-starter who can work independently, but also loves being part of a team
- Strong time-management skills and the ability to juggle multiple tasks
- Reliable transportation a valid driver’s license
- Comfortable standing, climbing ladders, bending, lifting up to 50 lbs, and working safely
