Camden’s Promise Charter School is looking for a Full Time Psychologist to provide services in the Camden’s Promise School in New Jersey. This individual functions within a multi-disciplinary team providing consultation and psychological evaluations through diagnostic testing and/or diagnostic interviews as well as interpreting this information to parents and/or other professionals.

We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic School Psychologist to join our team. This role is pivotal in fostering a supportive environment for students by addressing their psychological, emotional, and social challenges. The successful candidate will collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to create a safe and nurturing educational atmosphere conducive to learning.-Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations to determine students' cognitive, emotional, and social functioning.-Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with teachers and other school staff.-Provide direct support and interventions to students, including counseling and crisis intervention.-Participate in multidisciplinary teams to address students' educational and psychological needs.-Consult with teachers, parents, and administrators to improve support strategies and classroom management techniques.-Promote an understanding of mental health issues and developmental disorders within the school community.-Keep thorough records of students’ interventions and outcomes.-Stay current with research and best practices in school psychology through ongoing professional development.
-Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or a related field.-Valid New Jersey certification as a School Psychologist.-Experience with psycho-educational assessment tools and techniques.-Strong understanding of child development, special education, and applicable laws/regulations.-Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.-Commitment to ethical practice and adherence to the guidelines of the American Psychological -Association (APA).HM
