Role Description

The Director of Development is a full-time, hybrid role based in Camden, ME, with the ability to perform some responsibilities from home. Unfortunately, living outside of the area doesn’t work for this position.

The person in this role leads the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the library’s fundraising strategies, including annual campaigns, major gifts, and planned giving initiatives. Day-to-day responsibilities include cultivating and stewarding donors, managing fundraising events, coordinating appeals and communications, and collaborating with the Executive Director and Board on philanthropic priorities.

The Director oversees fundraising budgets, tracks performance against goals, and prepares reports and presentations to support strategic decision-making. If you’re excited to work closely with our staff and trustees to promote a culture of philanthropy and ensure the library’s development efforts, we’d love for you to learn more by checking out our website or MANP’s job board (see link).
