Are you a retired Senior NCO with a passion for mentoring young men and shaping future leaders? Join the Camden Military Academy team as a Tactical Officer, where you'll have the opportunity to continue serving in uniform while making a lasting impact on cadets in grades 7–12.
What We’re Looking For:
- Retired Senior NCOs who want to serve as trainers, advisors, coaches, mentors, and positive male role models.
- Prior JROTC experience is not required.
- Preference given to those with Combat Arms backgrounds or experience as Drill Instructors, but this is not mandatory.
- Must be genuinely committed to guiding and supporting youth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Train and supervise the cadet chain of command in their responsibilities at the battalion, company, platoon, and squad levels.
- Motivate, coach, mentor, and instruct individual cadets to support their growth and development.
- Ensure living quarters (company billets) are safe, orderly, and conducive to learning and personal development.
- Maintain professional, respectful communication with both cadets and their families.
- Additional duties may include oversight of teams such as air rifle or drill team, arms room duties, etc.
Schedule & Benefits:
- Each company is assigned two Tactical Officers.
- You will receive at least two days off per week, with additional time off depending on the school schedule.
- Enjoy generous holiday breaks, including approximately five weeks off during Thanksgiving and Christmas.
- There is a three-month summer break, though Tactical Officers are required to work during our three-week summer school session in July, which is less intensive than the regular academic year.
- In total, staff receive over three months of time off annually.
