What are the responsibilities and job description for the Paraprofessional (CFHS) position at Camden Fairview High School?
This position provides Study Hall supervision and instructional assistance to high school students while maintaining student discipline in a classroom setting.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Essential duties of this position include the following. Employees in this position perform some or all of the following tasks. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Follows and maintains knowledge of all District policy(ies) and procedures.
2. Assists students, individually or in groups, with lesson assignments (reading, math and writing).
3. Tutors and supervises students working on classroom assignment and/or projects.
4. Motivates reluctant learners to complete assignments.
5. Assists students with acquiring and utilizing instructional resources.
6. Maintains student records, attendance records and files.
7. Maintains discipline and a safe environment for students at all times. 8. Assists students with managing behaviors and resolving conflicts.
9. Communicates frequently with administrator regarding status, issues and needs.
10. Reports safety, sanitary and fire hazards immediately to supervisor.
11. Interacts thoughtfully and courteously with students, staff and community.
12. Professionally represents the school and the District in interactions with parents, community, staff and students.
13. Attends work regularly and is punctual.
