- Operates a school bus on assigned routes and schedules.
- Performs pre-and post-trip inspections to ensure the bus is in good working condition.
- Obeys all traffic laws and school bus regulations while operating the bus.
- Maintains discipline of students assigned to ride the bus.
- Reports any incidents or accidents to the Zone Transportation Supervisor.
Requirements:
- Valid North Carolina Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License with school bus certification.
- High school graduation or equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Ability to physically inspect the bus and detect observable mechanical defects or failures.
- Ability to maintain a clean school bus and complete required reports.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
