We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Telemetry Registered Nurse to join our dynamic healthcare team. Duties
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms using advanced telemetry equipment, ensuring real-time assessment of patient status.
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and physiological evaluations to inform care plans.
- Administer medications, including injections and IV infusions, adhering to aseptic techniques and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans for patients with complex medical needs.
- Assist with procedures such as catheterization, suturing, tube feeding, and ventilator management in accordance with hospital standards.
- Document all patient interactions accurately within electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner while maintaining HIPAA compliance.
- Respond swiftly to emergency situations such as acute pain episodes or arrhythmias, providing critical interventions as needed.
Skills
- Proven experience with cardiac catheterization, ICU or telemetry units, and acute care environments.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, and diagnostic evaluation techniques including ICD coding (ICD-9/10).
- Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner for efficient medical documentation and patient records management.
- Skilled in performing IV insertions, phlebotomy, specimen collection/processing, and laboratory procedures.
- Familiarity with infection control practices, aseptic technique, and sterile processing standards.
- Experience working with diverse patient populations including geriatrics, pediatrics, behavioral health, hospice & palliative medicine, and patients with developmental disabilities or memory care needs.
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations in emergency room settings or Level I/II trauma centers while maintaining composure.
- Excellent patient care skills with a focus on triage assessment, pain management, discharge planning, and health coaching.
