MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:
1. Must possess current licensure as required by state where services are being provided:
WV: Paramedic through West Virginia Office of Emergency Medical Services
2. Nationally registered as required by state board:
WV: Paramedic through National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (Unless state license is State License Only (SLO))
3. Valid Driver's license.
4. CPR Instructor Certified
5. Two (2) years of advanced education
EXPERIENCE
1. Two (2) years of clinical experience
To be completed as established by department: (Administered at Department level)
1. Completion of Emergency Vehicle Operations Course.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:
1. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Instructor through American Heart Association
2. Basic Trauma Life Support (BTLS) Certification through the board of International Trauma Life Support (ITLS)

1. All duties and responsibilities of a staff paramedic.
2. Assists Ambulance Service Manager with fiscal plan by being familiar with added or replaced capital expense items and all other expense items.
3. Schedules and controls daily operating procedures including, petty cash, out of town trips, log books, etc.
4. Responsible for supervision of all Ambulance service personnel Activities and educational requirements.
5. Provides input and standards in formulating patient care policy and procedures for the Ambulance Service; coordinates pre-hospital management of patient care with Medical Staff.
6. Assists Ambulance Service Manager with fiscal plan by being familiar with added or replaced capital expense items and all other expense items.
7. Accountable for serving as an essential member of the department and multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality cost effective outcomes for our customers.
8. Accountable for maintaining professional competency to ensure that knowledge and skills meet department and hospital standards.
