What are the responsibilities and job description for the Temporary Part-time: Adult Basic Skills Program Math Instructor position at Camden City Campus?
POSITION GOALS
- Math Instructor will report directly to the Director of Adult Basic Skills and will provide Math instruction for students enrolled in the Adult Basic Skills Program in order that the students have the knowledge to pass the High School Completion Test and earn their New Jersey High School Diploma.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Provide Math Instruction for those adults who are enrolled in the ABS Program with instruction from the ABS Basic level through the Advanced level.
- Administer and analyze pre and post assessments to determine students’ proficiency foundation and progress indicators as required.
- Comply with all safety, fire, and smoking regulations.
- Complete all mandatory compliance and safety training as scheduled by Human Resources.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Elementary Education, for Mathematics.
- Minimum 3 years teaching Adult Basic Skills or post-secondary education.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in teaching older youth and adults 16-27.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in teaching in an urban setting.
- Demonstrated ability provide instruction for Math.
- Strong computer skills for instruction and academic assessment.
Salary : $30
