POSITION OVERVIEW:
Camden Animal Hospital, an independently owned and operated veterinary practice in Camden, AR, is looking to grow our team. We are a full-service small animal hospital focused on providing high-quality care to our patients while delivering a great experience for our clients.
We are seeking a Veterinary Receptionist who will serve as the first point of contact for our clients and play a key role in creating a welcoming, organized, and efficient environment. This position supports both our clients and medical team by ensuring smooth front desk operations and clear communication throughout the day.
Responsibilities:
- Greet clients and patients with professionalism and warmth
- Answer phones, respond to emails, and manage appointment scheduling
- Check clients in and out, process payments, and handle invoices
- Maintain accurate client and patient records
- Communicate clearly with clients regarding services, wait times, and follow-up care
- Coordinate with veterinarians and technicians to keep appointments running on schedule
- Safely assist with basic animal handling and restraint when needed
- Escort patients and clients to exam rooms as needed
- Maintain a clean, organized front desk and lobby area
- Provide exceptional customer service and create a positive client experience
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- At least 1 year of veterinary reception experience
- Ability to safely handle and restrain animals in a calm and compassionate manner
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- High level of organization and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure
- Comfort working with clients and pets in a busy environment
- Basic knowledge of animal care and veterinary terminology preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
