The Payroll / HR Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Florence, KY. This position is responsible for end-to-end payroll processing, including data entry, review of timesheets, and coordination with payroll services to ensure accurate and timely payments. The role includes administering garnishments, managing payroll taxes, and maintaining payroll records in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. The Payroll / HR Specialist will support HR activities such as onboarding, employee data maintenance, benefits coordination, and responding to employee inquiries related to compensation and payroll. The individual will collaborate with finance and operations teams to reconcile payroll information, prepare reports, and contribute to continuous improvement of payroll and HR processes.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in Payroll Administration and Payroll Processing, with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Knowledge of Garnishments and Payroll Taxes, including compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Familiarity with working alongside or managing external Payroll Services and payroll systems.
- Proficiency with HRIS and payroll software, and solid skills in Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
- Understanding of HR fundamentals, including employee onboarding, recordkeeping, and benefits support.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and time-management abilities, with capacity to handle confidential information responsibly.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills and ability to partner with cross-functional teams.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in Business, HR, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Prior experience in manufacturing, logistics, or similar environments is beneficial.
