What are the responsibilities and job description for the Injection Molding Machine Operator position at Camcar Plastics?
Shifts Available: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Shift
We are looking for dependable, detail-oriented individuals to join our team as Injection Molding Machine Operators! In this role, you will operate and monitor injection molding machines, inspect parts for quality, and help maintain a safe and efficient production environment.
Available Shifts:
- 1st Shift: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
- 2nd Shift: 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM
- 3rd Shift: 11:30 PM – 8:00 AM
Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor injection molding machines and related equipment.
- Inspect parts to ensure they meet quality standards and customer specifications.
- Perform trimming, assembly, labeling, and packaging as needed.
- Record production quantities, scrap, and other required information.
- Report quality concerns, equipment issues, and safety hazards.
- Maintain a clean, organized workstation and follow safety procedures.
- Work with team members to meet production goals and support continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Basic math skills and attention to detail.
- Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work safely and as part of a team.
- Previous injection molding or manufacturing experience is preferred but not required.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, perform repetitive movements, and lift or move materials within company limits. Work takes place in a manufacturing environment around machinery, heat, and noise. Reasonable accommodations will be considered in accordance with applicable law.
