- Assist pharmacists with medication preparation, dispensing, and inventory management in LTC (Long-Term Care) and hospital settings.
- Prepare and compound IV infusions using aseptic technique, ensuring sterile procedures are strictly followed.
- Support medication intake processes by verifying prescriptions, updating patient records, and managing medication orders.
- Provide excellent patient service by answering questions, clarifying medication instructions, and ensuring patient safety during medication administration.
- Maintain accurate documentation of medication dispensing, infusion procedures, and inventory levels in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure timely delivery of medications for critical care and acute care patients.
- Uphold safety protocols related to medical terminology, aseptic techniques, and infection control to support optimal patient outcomes.
Skills
- Proven pharmacy technician experience with a strong understanding of medical terminology and medication management.
- Experience working in LTC pharmacy or hospital environments with a focus on critical care or acute care settings.
- Skilled in IV infusion preparation and aseptic technique to ensure sterile compounding standards are met.
