Under general supervision, the Supply Chain Receiving Technician I is responsible for receiving, inspecting and documenting incoming materials for all departments of CAMC Health Systems,Inc. This position will actively participate in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all. The Supply Chain Receiving Technician I must possess a valid driver’s license issued by the state of West Virginia and be able to safely operate a vehicle not weighing more than 26,000lbs. Employee may access secure medication supply areas to complete assigned job duties.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates, through behavior, CAMC’s Core Values of Quality, Service with Compassion, Respect, Integrity, Stewardship and Safety as outlined in the organization’s Service Excellence Program.

  • Possess and maintain a West Virginia driver’s license. A clean driving record is required and must be maintained.

  • Safe and efficient operation of all CAMC vehicles weighing less than 26,000lbs

  • Performs daily housekeeping functions in assigned work areas.

  • Assist with loading and unloading of supplies and linen from delivery trucks.

  • Develop and maintain a positive and effective relationship with all point-of-service representatives.

  • Serve as a positive and professional representative of Supply Chain Management.

  • Operates material handling equipment: pallet jack, fork lifts, etc…

  • Perform routine clerical duties including data entry, answering telephones and assisting internal and external customers.

  • Authorizes receipt of incoming products.

  • Enters all receipt information into the material management information system

  • Performs internet package tracing

  • Maintains shipping/receiving log and support documentation

  • Verifies shipment agrees with purchase order

  • Completes receiving record and associated documents

  • Ships goods as required

  • Comply with all CAMC rules for health, safety and personnel conduct.

  • Maintain a clean and safe work area.

  • Performs other duties as assigned or directed to ensure the smooth operation of the department

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Patient Group Knowledge (Only applies to positions with direct patient contact)

The employee must possess/obtain (by the end of the orientation period) and demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide developmentally appropriate assessment, treatment or care as defined by the department’s identified patient ages. Specifically the employee must be able to demonstrate competency in: 1) ability to obtain and interpret information in terms of patient needs; 2) knowledge of growth and development; and 3) understanding of the range of treatment needed by the patients.

Competency Statement

Must demonstrate competency through an initial orientation and ongoing competency validation to independently perform tasks and additional duties as specified in the job description and the unit/department specific competency checklist.

Education

• High School Diploma or GED (Required) Experience: 3-6 months of receiving/shipping experience (preferred).
