What are the responsibilities and job description for the Surgical Technologist position at CAMC Charleston Surgical Hospital?
CAMC Charleston Surgical Hospital is seeking Surgical Technician, full-time and per diem positions available, 2 years of experience preferred.
Dayshift Monday – Friday.
· Competent in high level disinfectant handling and procedures, as needed.
· Endoscope processing practices and procedures competency, as needed.
· Communicates effectively with co-workers, patients, visitors, and physicians.
· Effectively observes patient status and reports condition as needed.
· Maintains unquestionable attendance record.
· Practices good time management and cost containment efforts.
· Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Education:
Post High School Vocational/Specialized training; completion of course for surgical technicians, or 2 years previous on-the-job training preferred.
CPR certification – BLS required.
Charleston Surgical Hospital is located at 1306 Kanawha Bld. E and free parking available near Virginia Street entrance of facility.
