Responsibilities
- Manage daily administrative operations of the dental practice, including scheduling, billing, and patient records
- Coordinate patient treatment plans, ensuring clear communication between patients and clinical staff
- Oversee fiscal management tasks such as budgeting, financial reporting, and billing processes using systems like Eaglesoft
- Supervise office staff, including hiring, training, performance evaluations, and human resources functions
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain the confidentiality of medical records and patient information
- Utilize patient management systems to document clinical notes, manage appointments, and update patient information accurately
- Assist in managing insurance claims processing, managed care plans, and utilization management
- Maintain clinic standards in accordance with accreditation requirements and healthcare regulations
- Implement best practices for office management including workflow optimization and resource allocation
Skills
- Proven experience in medical or dental office management with a strong understanding of healthcare operations
- Proficiency with practice management software
- Strong fiscal management skills including budgeting, financial management, and billing processes
- Supervising experience with the ability to lead a team effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of dental /medical terminology, dental/ medical records management, and healthcare compliance standards such as HIPAA
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in managing medical administrative support tasks
- Ability to handle human resources responsibilities including staff training and performance evaluations
- Strong communication skills to coordinate between clinical staff and patients effectively
