What are the responsibilities and job description for the Media Arts OST Media Instructor Assistant position at Cambridge Public Schools?
Description of Service Opportunity:
Under the direction of the CPS Media Arts Manager, the OST Media Instructor Assistant will work with the OST Media
Instructor to support the after school media production and journalism program for high school students. Duties
include:
• Assist with all activities of the Production Assistant workstudy program and MAS clubs
• Create and present special media art and literacy units/workshops
• Support student media making for event and sports coverage, creative projects and annual production programs
Requirements:
•Experience working with high school students in media education and production
• Demonstrable digital media production skills
• Experience working in a diverse, urban public education setting
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Degree in Media Arts Education or related preferred
• Must be available Monday - Thursday 2:30-5PM; additional hours available based on interest and availability
Length of Contract:
September 14, 2026 through June 18, 2027
Contract Amount
Not exceed $9880.00
Please note that your hourly rate is dependent upon your collective bargaining agreement
or individual hourly rate. If you are a non-exempt employee and have worked more than
40 hours a week, you will be paid time and a half for any hours worked over 40 hours
