Description of Service Opportunity:
The Excel Tutoring Program Lead provides districtwide operational and programmatic support for the Cambridge Public Schools Excel Tutoring program. Excel Tutoring is an in-person, afterschool, high-impact tutoring program designed to provide intensive, relationship-based, and personalized academic support to students with identified academic needs.
Working in partnership with the Office of Academics, the Program Lead coordinates implementation of Excel Tutoring across participating elementary and upper schools and serves as a primary point of contact for Lead Tutors, Tutors, Site Coordinators, and school-based staff.

Schedule
Tuesdays & Thursdays, from school dismissal—late bus
Program Lead responsibilities include:
Planning, coordinating, and facilitating training and preparation for Lead Tutors, Tutors, and Site Coordinators prior to and during each tutoring session;
Providing ongoing support and guidance to Lead Tutors, Tutors, and Site Coordinators and responding to program implementation questions;
Maintaining districtwide lists of students eligible for Excel Tutoring and supporting schools with student identification, enrollment, and participation processes;
-Coordinating with schools to maintain accurate student rosters and program information;
-Creating and maintaining school-based digital Excel Tutoring homepages so staff have centralized access to schedules, rosters, instructional resources, program guidance, forms, and other materials;
-Managing questions and communications from tutors, school-based staff, and families and connecting individuals with appropriate district or school-based supports when needed;
-Providing operational oversight of the program across participating schools, including monitoring staffing, student enrollment, attendance, program schedules, and implementation needs;
-Identifying and troubleshooting operational issues that could affect successful program implementation;
-Supporting consistent implementation of districtwide Excel Tutoring expectations and procedures across schools;
-Coordinating regularly with the Office of Academics regarding program implementation, emerging needs, and areas requiring additional support; and
-Supporting program launch, ongoing implementation, and end-of-session closeout activities.
Please note that your hourly rate is depending upon your collective bargaining agreement or individual hourly rate.
Requirements:
Current Cambridge Public Schools employee;
Strong organizational, project management, and communication skills;
Demonstrated ability to coordinate a multi-site program and manage multiple priorities simultaneously;
Ability to develop and facilitate professional learning or staff training;
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with educators, school leaders, families, and central office staff;
Demonstrated ability to maintain accurate student and program records and manage digital resources;
Ability to independently identify and resolve implementation and operational challenges; and
Familiarity with Cambridge Public Schools instructional programs, systems, and school-based structures preferred.
Length of Contract:
September 28, 2026 through December 18, 2026
Contract Amount
Not Exceed $6000.00

40 hours a week, you will be paid time and a half for any hours worked over 40 hours
