Job Summary
Boutique valuation, appraisal and M&A advisory firm seeks analyst for valuation modeling and M&A advisory.
Primary responsibilities will include: business valuation; sell-side M&A financial modeling and materials preparation; the appraisal analysis of fixed assets in connection with business acquisitions; and the analysis of commercial and industrial real estate to assist clients with acquisition accounting and federal tax depreciation strategies (cost segregation analysis).
Cambridge Partners & Associates is a multi-discipline consulting firm located in Palatine, Illinois. The firm performs valuations of businesses and their assets, including: securities, intangibles, real estate and fixed assets. The firm also represents business owners in the sale process as their investment banker. Clients include closely held businesses and divisions of publicly traded corporations, private equity owned companies, etc. Industries served are numerous.
Duties
We are offering the right individual an opportunity to build a career in a well-regarded consulting field. We are seeking a motivated individual whose responsibilities will include:
- Valuations and analysis of fixed assets, business interests and other assets for financial accounting and federal tax compliance.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established standards.
- Engage in financial report writing and preparing PPT presentations in a clear, concise and visually appealing manner.
- Utilize finance, math and modeling skills to analyze/present financial data
- Assist in 3rd party review by preparing necessary documentation and responses to questions.
Travel
Travel is a necessary component of this position and approximates 5%. Assignments span the United States and may also on occasion include assets in foreign countries.
Requirements
Ideal candidates will have at least 1 year of prior work experience and a strong understanding of finance, mathematics, Microsoft Excel and Power Point.
We are seeking someone with a bachelor's degree in either finance, accounting, or mathematics. A background in the valuation field is a plus but not required as we are willing to train a consulting minded professional possessing the right academic background and/or work history. Candidates coming from the fields of: commercial banking or finance, public accounting, financial planning & analysis or similar will be considered.
Required for the position include:
* Analytical, mathematical and corporate finance skills
* Solid proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power Point
* Excellent English writing and verbal communication
