Responsibilities
CNS is seeking a full-time teacher to join our collaborative and dedicated team. This role is ideal for an educator who is passionate about play-based learning, values strong relationships with children and families, and is excited to contribute to a warm, community-centered school.
Design and refine curriculum to meet the developmental needs and interests of children
Develop engaging, hands-on activities that support learning through play
Create and maintain a clean, safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
Build strong relationships with families by communicating regularly about student progress, sharing daily updates, and collaborating on strategies for success
Work closely with fellow teachers and the director to support the overall success of each child and the school community
Provide individualized and small-group instruction to reinforce learning
Maintain a positive, well-organized classroom environment, supporting children’s social-emotional growth and guiding behavior
Supervise children during all parts of the day, including classroom activities, snack, lunch, and transitions
Share highlights and important information about each child’s day during drop-off and pick-up
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education preferred
EEC certification (Massachusetts)
CPR and First Aid certification
3–5 years of teaching experience preferred
Commitment to play-based, child-centered learning
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Schedule & Commitment
Salaried position: 40 hours a week
Typical hours: 9:00-5:00pm
Occasional evening and weekend meetings/events
School Year Program: Early September- Middle of June
Summer Program: 6 week summer program from Middle of June through end of July
Compensation & Benefits
$24–$30 per hour, commensurate with experience
Health and dental benefits
12 sick/personal/ mental health days per year
The month of August off
