Production Laborer

Purpose:

This position is responsible to manufacture, process, assemble, inspect, transport, pack, and/or ship materials per work instructions, standards, and / or guidelines.

Essential Functions:

· Follows Safety, Quality, Operating standards and guidelines

· Process material per work instruction; Monitor production process

· Inspect material per work instruction, internal quality requirements

· Train and qualify on various equipment / positions; Train other employees as needed

· Use forklift/tow-motor to transport material / items

· Use crane (various types) to transport material / items

· Change propane tanks on forklifts/tow-motors as necessary

· Actively participate in continuous improvement process

· Clean area and machines daily

· Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor

Physical Requirements:

· Extensive walking and / or standing – up to 12 hours per shift

· Lifting, bending, pulling, and pushing required.

· Lift up to 50 lbs., as needed

Qualifications:

· High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma

· Strong work ethic, organizational skills, and learning agility

· Solid communication skills, including verbal and written

· Must be able to proficiently read, write and speak English

· Must be able to operate mobile equipment including but not limited to forklifts and cranes

· Must be able to work mandatory overtime as needed

· Must be able to work multiple shifts as needed

· Read micrometers, calipers and other measurement devices

· Ability to work in a team environment

· Basic computer skills

· Manufacturing experience preferred
