This position offers a unique opportunity to support high school students as they gain real-world experience and apply classroom learning in a professional work environment. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with employers, students, and school staff to create meaningful work-based learning opportunities aligned with students' career interests.
Specific Tasks:
Provide an ideal, positive learning environment, instruct students in individual or group sessions, develop, translate and integrate lesson plans, and establish positive relationships. See the job description for additional information. Coordinate and oversee student job placements in the community that align with their career interests. Maintain regular communication with employers to ensure training stations meet educational and safety standards. Monitor and evaluate students’ job performance and growth. Work in tandem with Career Seminar 1 and 2 teachers to ensure curriculum integration. Conduct regular site visits to assess student progress and provide support. Guide students in developing workplace readiness skills including professionalism, responsibility, and communication. Maintain accurate records of student hours, evaluations, and placements. Ensure all placements meet district and state guidelines for work-based learning.Hours Per Day:
