Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid or work from Medical Underwriter role based around a company with several offices throughout the northeast. 100% flexibility for remote work. The Medical Underwriter will evaluate and assess risk factors for insurance applications, analyze medical histories and financial statements, and collaborate with clients and team members to develop tailored insurance solutions. Additional responsibilities include maintaining compliance with industry regulations and providing clear communication to clients regarding underwriting decisions.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Medical Underwriting and comprehensive knowledge of Insurance policies and practices. Self Funded knowledge a plus.
• Strong Analytical Skills to assess risks and evaluate information effectively.
• Excellent Communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey complex information clearly.
• Experience in Underwriting with a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organizational and teamwork abilities to manage workloads and collaborate effectively.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience preferred.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards is advantageous.
