Cambridge Dental Center is seeking a detail oriented and experienced Dental Billing Specialist to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting the financial health of our practice by ensuring accurate, timely, and efficient billing operations. Working alongside a team that includes Harvard faculty and world class providers, you will help ensure our patients receive a seamless experience from treatment through billing. Duties
- Process and submit dental insurance claims accurately and in a timely manner
- Follow up on outstanding claims, denials, and unpaid balances to ensure timely reimbursement
- Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits prior to treatment
- Post insurance and patient payments, adjustments, and write-offs accurately
- Communicate with insurance companies to resolve claim discrepancies and appeal denied claims
- Maintain accurate patient account records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Generate billing reports and assist with month end reconciliation
- Communicate professionally with patients regarding account balances, payment plans, and billing inquiries
- Collaborate with front office and clinical staff to ensure accurate coding and documentation
Skills
- Strong knowledge of dental insurance billing procedures, coding, and claims processing
- Experience with dental practice management and billing software required, CareStack experience is a plus
- Familiarity with CDT codes and insurance verification processes
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients and insurance representatives
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast paced environment
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality

Pay: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour
