We are seeking a Logistics Manager to join our dynamic team! In this essential new role at our facility located in Harmar, PA. Initially, you will immerse yourself in the job duties, gaining invaluable insights before taking on the responsibility of directing and managing logistics personnel. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring our daily operations run smoothly and efficiently, aligning with our strategic objectives in both national and international arenas. Your leadership will play a crucial role in enhancing our logistics processes and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure regular attendance and punctuality while working safely and efficiently.
- Collaborate daily with Operations, Sales, and other departments to enhance the sales process and product knowledge.
- Coordinate with the Operations Management Team to maintain optimal inventory levels and safety stock.
- Implement and manage effective shipping and receiving processes for raw materials and finished products.
- Supervise and ensure compliance with all related services, documentation, and legal requirements.
- Develop strategic shipping and storage strategies while maintaining safety and compliance with EHS standards.
- Oversee the receipt and inspection of raw materials, packaging, and manufactured products.
- Directly supervise Warehouse Operators, enforce policies, and administer necessary discipline.
- Maintain accurate inventory through cycle counts and checks while controlling departmental costs.
- Evaluate freight companies, manage invoices, and handle freight claims.
- Promote a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous learning among all staff.
- Coordinate logistics and resolve order-related issues, interfacing with purchasing and accounting as needed.
- Additional duties as assigned by Reaxis.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- A college degree in a non-technical discipline (e.g. BBA, BA, or BFA),
- or (2) achievement of formal certifications/degrees recognized in industry/educational institution as equivalent to a bachelor's degree
- or (3) in-depth industry and job specific technical skills acquired through a combination of formal instruction and on-the-job training.
- Strong organizational, communication, interpersonal skills, and attention for detail.
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft 365 platform applications and ERP systems.
- Demonstrable communication skills, both verbal and written.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- DOT/IMDG/IATA certification and experience for handling, packaging and shipping hazardous material.
- Forklift operation experience.
- Managing and maintenance of specific master data for hazardous materials and goods.
POSITION TYPE AND EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:
- This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Must work 37.5 hours each week to maintain full-time status.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- This job operates in an Industrial and Administrative setting. This role routinely involves standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.

TRAVEL:
