About the Role
Cambridge Business Institute, established in 2009, is a NYS Dept. of Education – BPSS licensed vocational school and authorized testing center located in Hempstead. We are seeking a responsible and detail-oriented due role of Proctor/ Student Services Coordinator to support daily school operations, student communication, and academic record management. This role plays an important part in helping students navigate their training programs, stay on track, and meet BPSS and school requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Multi-functional responsibilities in a fast-moving environment with accuracy
- Answers the telephone system for the purpose of responding to inquiries, transferring calls, and/or taking messages.
- Processes and maintaining test-takers' documents, records
- Process internship documents, maintain internship records, and send student internship schedules.
- Maintain organized school documents and ensure all files are correctly uploaded and archived.
- Upload and update student information in the SIS (Student Information System).
- Support daily school operations and assist with other administrative tasks as needed.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Clear, friendly, and professional communication skills (written and verbal).
- Responsible, reliable, and able to work independently.
- Patient and supportive when assisting students.
- Comfortable using computer systems, cloud storage platforms, and data entry tools.
- Willingness to learn school procedures, policies, and BPSS requirements.
Qualifications
- High school diploma required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Experience in a school, training center, or administrative environment is a plus.
- Familiarity with SIS systems, BPSS processes, or vocational training environments is helpful but not required—training will be provided.
Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour
