Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Program Teaching Facilitator to join our team that serves at a transitional living facility for homeless men. Candidate must have a strong desire and heart to help men who want to transform their lives and reintegrate into the workforce. Facilitator must have strong interpersonal skills, be able to work well with others, recruit individuals for the program, teach the established curriculum in a group setting, provide one/one coaching, help participants develop social skills and facilitate other related activities that promote and develop healthy, drug-free, self-sufficient, and successful living.
Responsibilities
- Develop relationships and recruit qualified individuals for the transitional living program.
- Lead workshops, training and coaching sessions to help participants transform their lives and develop healthy social, emotional and work habits and skills.
- Collaborate with community partners to enhance program reach and impact.
- Monitor and evaluate teaching effectiveness, making adjustments as necessary to ensure each participant's successful reintegration into the workforce.
- Provide support and guidance to participants, particularly in areas related to addiction counseling and employment skills.
- Document activities and provide reports as requested.
Experience
- Adult education teaching experience preferred but not mandatory for the right candidate with other relevant related experience.
- Strong background in public speaking and leadership roles, with the ability to engage students/clients.
- Knowledge of addiction counseling practices is a plus but not required.
- A degree in social work or a related field is preferred but not mandatory for the right candidate with college education and relevant experience.
