What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance and Repair Laborer position at Cambria Veterinary Care?
Cambria Veterinary Care is dedicated to the health and well-being of our patients. We are a true mixed animal practice and care for a variety of household pets including, but not limited to dogs, cats, birds, pocket pets, small mammals, reptiles and amphibians as well as food and farm animals such as horses, cows, sheep, goats, and pigs.
We are seeking a dependable and motivated individual to join our team on a part time basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic and be able to perform manual labor tasks.
Responsibilities will include supportive tasks to the overall operation of a growing organization and keeping all work sites safe and clean. Individuals should be capable of handling power tools and materials as well as have the ability to meet the physical demands of the job including standing for long periods of time and lifting heavy weights up to 100 pounds.
Duties span a wide range of tasks and may include but are not limited to:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs throughout facilities
- Assist with minor construction projects, installations, and facility upgrades
- Assist other tradespeople on-site
- Clean up worksites from hazardous or obsolete material
- Handle and transport materials and equipment
- Use power tools and machinery when needed
- Follow instructions from supervisors to perform manual labor tasks
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests to ensure a safe environment
- Report issues with equipment or unsafe conditions
Teamwork skills and commitment to safety is highly valued. Apprenticeship or specialization is an asset, but not necessary. Plumbing knowledge, HVAC understanding, electrical wiring capabilities, carpentry ability, and groundskeeping skills are highly valued. Pay based upon experience. Must be able to pass a background check.
