Laundry Aide

Duties

• Operate garment care machines such as industrial washers, dryers, and dry cleaning equipment to ensure proper laundering of textiles.
• Handle laundry materials with care, including sorting, folding, and organizing linens, clothing, and other textiles.
• Use push carts and other materials handling tools to transport laundry safely throughout the facility.
• Follow safety protocols during all manual handling tasks, heavy lifting, and operation of machinery to prevent injuries.
• Maintain sanitation standards by properly using laundry detergents and cleaning agents while adhering to safety standards in production.
• Assist with general cleaning tasks in laundry areas to ensure a safe and organized environment.
• Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to requests for laundry services and ensuring garments are returned clean and well-cared for.

Experience

• Prior experience in cleaning or laundry services is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and the use of push carts.
• Basic math skills for measuring detergents and managing laundry loads efficiently.
• Knowledge of sanitation practices, safety standards in production environments, and textile cleaning techniques such as dry cleaning is advantageous.
• Familiarity with garment care machines like industrial washers, dryers, and dry cleaning equipment is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on maintaining high standards of cleanliness and garment care.
• Excellent communication skills with a customer service-oriented mindset to meet residents’ needs effectively.

Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour
