What are the responsibilities and job description for the Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic position at Cambria Springs Service Inc?
Our growing business is seeking a skilled candidate for a Diesel Mechanic.
As an employee, you will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing vehicles and equipment.
Candidates with some welding and machinist experience would be an asset to our expanded driveline and welding division.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems using diagnostic tools and equipment
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, and tire rotations
- Repair or replace faulty components, such as brakes, suspension systems, and exhaust systems
- Test drive vehicles to ensure proper functioning after repairs
- Keep accurate records of all repairs and maintenance performed
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or similar role
- Proficient in using hand tools and diagnostic equipment
-Must be able to provide own hand tools. Specialty tools will be supplied by the shop.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. CDL preferred.
- Forklift certification is a plus
-State Inspection license is a plus.
-Ability to lift to 50 pounds and perform repetitive tasks

While we have been doing welding and fabricating work for years, with the acquisition of Simko Driveline and welding we have expanded that line of work to include many more services including but not limited to driveshaft / pto shaft construction and repair.
Salary : $20 - $35
