Hotel Guest Service Representative (front desk) - Part Time

We’re looking for a friendly, reliable Guest Services Representative to join our front desk team and help create memorable experiences for our guests.

Position: Guest Services Representative

Status: Part-time [Potential for full-time in season]
Must be able to work 7am-3pm or 3pm-11pm shifts and be available on weekends.

Schedule: Varies; must be available weekends, holidays, and some evenings
Location: Rehoboth Beach, Delaware

Key Responsibilities

• Greet guests with a warm, professional, and genuine welcome
• Perform check-in and check-out procedures efficiently and accurately
• Answer phone calls and respond to guest inquiries about reservations, hotel amenities, local attractions, and services
• Handle payment processing, room assignments, and issue room keys
• Resolve guest concerns and complaints promptly, courteously, and professionally
• Communicate effectively with housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments to ensure a smooth guest experience
• Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting front desk and lobby area
• Follow all safety, security, and brand standards
• Assist with reservations, group blocks, and special requests
• Provide recommendations on dining, shopping, and activities in Rehoboth Beach and surrounding areas

Qualifications

• Previous hotel front desk, customer service, or hospitality experience preferred, but not required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Positive, professional attitude and polished appearance
• Comfortable using computers, hotel property management systems (PMS), and basic office equipment
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy with cash and credit card handling
• Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
• Ability to stand for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.
