EMS Manager

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled EMS Manager to lead our emergency medical services team with energy, precision, and a commitment to excellence. The EMS Manager will serve as a key liaison between medical personnel, emergency responders, and hospital staff to ensure seamless patient transport and treatment processes. Duties

· The Manager/Paramedic must demonstrate competency in handling emergencies utilizing basic life support equipment and advanced life support equipment in accordance with the objectives in the U.S. Department of Transportation National Standard Curriculum for EMT-P and other objectives identified by the Department, to include having the ability to:

o Verbally communicate in person, via telephone, and telecommunications using the English language.

o Hear spoken information and sounds common to the emergency scene.

o Lift, carry, balance a minimum of 125 pounds equally distributed (250 pounds with assistance), a height of 33 inches, and a distances of 10 ft.

o Ready and comprehend written materials under stressful conditions.

o Document physically in writing all relevant information in prescribed format.

o Function in varied environmental conditions such as lighted or darkened work areas, extreme heat, cold, and moisture.

• Lead and supervise EMS teams during emergency responses, ensuring adherence to protocols and safety procedures
• Oversee patient assessment procedures including vital signs, physical examinations, and physiology evaluations to determine appropriate care pathways
• Coordinate critical care transport operations, ensuring timely and safe transfer of patients between facilities such as Level I Trauma Centers and other healthcare institutions
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of patient care activities, vital signs, medical terminology usage, and incident reports

Additional duties:

· Directly responsible to the Board of Directors

· Must attend the monthly Board Meeting

· Scheduling and maintaining that schedule when employee shortages are noted.

· Maintenance of all equipment, ambulances, and buildings

· Create and delivery month Manager reports to the Board

· Plan, organize staff, lead and control the operations of corporation.

Qualifications

· Hold all certifications required by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to maintain paramedic standards.

· Must have and maintain certifications in CPR, ACLS, PHTLS, and/or BTLS, PALS, and Awareness Level Hazardous Material Certifications and maintain them for the length of employment with Cambria Alliance Emergency Medical Services.

· Must hold all requirements in accordance with Act 45.

· Hold and maintain Emergency Vehicle Operator’s Certifications (EVOC).

· Must be willing to obtain all certifications required by the Medical Director of the Cambria Alliance Emergency Medical Services.

· Must have and keep the Pennsylvania paramedic license.

· Must have a valid driver’s license.

· Have not been convicted of a DUI within the past four (4) years.

· Managerial experience beneficial.

· Proven critical care experience within hospital environments or trauma centers, preferably at Level I or Level II Trauma Centers

· Extensive hospital experience with a strong understanding of emergency medicine protocols and patient care procedures.

· Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, DME (Durable Medical Equipment), and aseptic techniques

· Strong leadership skills with the ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams under pressure in fast-paced environments

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
