THE ROLE
Cambium is seeking a VP of Technology to join our advanced materials team. You will be hands-on in leading our technology teams to develop cutting-edge advanced materials. You will work hand in hand with our Chief Technology Officer to map technology strategy and resourcing, and ensure our technology efforts result in the development & qualification of revolutionary advanced material products.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate closely with the CTO to define and execute the company’s technology strategy in alignment with overall business goals.
- Hands-on leadership of technical teams developing advanced materials
- Assist the CTO in driving technology roadmap planning, budgeting, and performance measurement
- Support recruiting and development of technical talent, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement
- Act as a key liaison between the technology department and executive leadership, presenting complex technical concepts in business terms.
- Represent Cambium’s technical vision to external stakeholders when needed
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelors or higher in a relevant subject
- 10 years industry experience
- Strong material science background
- A deep technical understanding of polymer composites & adhesives
- Must have experience in the development and qualification of advanced materials in the aerospace industry
- You must have a strong desire to learn and be willing to work in a hands-on role
- Strong bias for action
- Exceptional communication
- Demonstrated leadership of technical teams
- Due to the nature of the work, you must have US citizenship
- Be a great teammate
- This is an on-site role based in El Segundo, CA

Salary: $160,000 – 220,000 annually
