About the Role:
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Bilingual Spanish-Speaking Psychotherapist to join our clinical team. This role is a core provider within the EFMNY Clinic and is responsible for delivering high-quality, evidence-based psychotherapy services to individuals and families impacted by epilepsy and related neurological and psychosocial conditions.
The ideal candidate is passionate about mental health care, culturally responsive services, and collaborative interdisciplinary treatment. This position also plays a key role in supporting clinic growth and client retention through active case management and referral engagement.
Responsibilities
- Provide individual, family, and group psychotherapy services in English and Spanish
- Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to client needs
- Maintain an active caseload and support client engagement and retention
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary clinical teams to coordinate care plans
- Complete timely clinical documentation and treatment plans
- Participate in referrals, intake assessments, and follow-up services
- Ensure compliance with OMH, OPWDD Article 16, and Article 31 regulations
- Adhere to all organizational policies, procedures, and ethical standards
- Support clinic census stability and overall program growth
- Attend team meetings, case conferences, and required trainings
Qualifications
- Qualifications
- Fluent in both Spanish and English (required)
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or related field
- Active New York State licensure preferred (LCSW, LMHC, LMSW, or equivalent)
- Experience providing psychotherapy services to diverse populations
- Knowledge of epilepsy, neurological disorders, or chronic health conditions preferred
- Strong documentation, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary environment
