What are the responsibilities and job description for the Magnolia House Women's Shelter - Case Work Supervisor position at CAMBA INC?
Program Overview: CAMBA operates six homeless shelters funded by New York City Department of Homeless Services. Each shelter offers clients a supportive, structured therapeutic, safe, and drug-free facility. Homeless (often mentally-ill and substance-abusing) men and women are provided with comprehensive services to stabilize their condition in order to successfully transition into to permanent and/or supported housing. Specifically, CAMBA’s Atlantic House Men’s Shelter located in the Brownsville section of Brooklyn serves 200 single men at any given time. The majority of these clients are dually diagnosed with mental illness and substance abuse. The Park Slope Shelter for Women serves 100 MICA (mentally ill chemical abusing) women at the Park Slope Armory in Brooklyn. The Broadway House Women’s Shelter in Bushwick serves 200 women 100 of which are general population and 100 of which are dually diagnosed with mental illness and substance use. Rising Up Men’s Shelter located in Williamsburg Brooklyn serves 141 men who are either currently employed or employment ready. Magnolia House Women’s Shelter serves 200 women, 100 of which are general population and 100 of which are dually diagnosed with mental illness and substance use.
Position Overview: The person filling this position is expected, under general supervision, to ensure the smooth day-to-day running and supervision of Case Management staff and services in accordance with program goals, targets, and performance outcomes and all CAMBA and program policies, procedures, and protocols.
Qualifications:Education, Licenses and/or Certifications Required:
• Bachelor's degree (e. g., B.A., B.S.W.)
Minimum Experiences and Skills Required:
- Two years of Supervisory experience
Preferred Qualifications:
• Master’s Degree preferred
Salary : $70,000 - $72,000
