Position Summary
Camarillo Healthcare Center is seeking a professional, organized, and customer-service-driven Front Desk Receptionist to serve as the first point of contact for residents, families, visitors, and staff. In a fast-paced skilled nursing facility, this role is essential in creating a welcoming environment while efficiently managing front desk operations, including high-volume phone systems and administrative support.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and assist residents, visitors, vendors, and staff in a courteous and professional manner
- Operate a multi-line phone system, including answering, holding, transferring, and directing calls accurately and efficiently
- Manage multiple phone lines simultaneously while maintaining professionalism and attention to detail
- Take and relay messages promptly and accurately to appropriate departments or personnel
- Provide general information regarding the facility, services, and resident inquiries (while maintaining confidentiality)
- Maintain front desk organization, ensuring a clean, secure, and welcoming reception area
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, sorting mail, and handling deliveries
- Monitor visitor sign-in/sign-out procedures and adhere to facility security protocols
- Support nursing and administrative teams with clerical duties as needed
- Respond to emergencies by following proper communication protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous receptionist, front desk, or customer service experience preferred (healthcare setting a plus)
- Experience working with multi-line phone systems strongly preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, email systems, etc.)
- Ability to remain calm, professional, and efficient under pressure
