Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Dental Front Office Specialist to join our dynamic dental team. Duties
- Greet patients warmly and provide outstanding customer service at the front desk
- Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments using dental practice management software (Dentrix Ascend)
- Verify insurance coverage and benefits, including insurance verification for various plans
- Review and update patient records accurately
- Process payments
- Handle multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette and assist patients with inquiries
- Support the clinical team by coordinating care plans and facilitating communication between patients and providers
- Ensure compliance with health information management standards and proper documentation procedures
Experience
- Prior experience in a dental office setting is highly preferred
- Proficiency with dental software such as Dentrix Ascend
- Insurance verification, and health information management practices
- Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and typing proficiency (10 key typing)
- Demonstrated ability to handle administrative tasks efficiently while providing exceptional patient service
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations, dental terminology, and office management procedures
- Bilingual capabilities are desirable to enhance communication with diverse patient populations
