Position Summary
Camaco is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst with strong experience in automotive manufacturing. This role provides financial analysis and insight to support operational and business decisions, with a focus on cost, plant performance, budgeting, forecasting, and profitability. The analyst will partner with finance, operations, and leadership to identify trends, explain variances, and support continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze budgets, forecasts, and financial reports for manufacturing operations.
- Monitor and explain variances in labor, material, overhead, production costs, and other key financial measures.
- Analyze product costs, margins, inventory, scrap, and plant performance.
- Partner with plant leaders and cross-functional teams to evaluate operational results and improvement opportunities.
- Support month-end close, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Develop financial models, business cases, and scenario analyses for operational and strategic decisions.
- Track key performance indicators and communicate findings and recommendations to leadership.
- Support annual planning, cost-reduction initiatives, capital requests, and investment analysis.
- Improve reporting processes, data quality, and internal controls.
- Assist with audits and other finance projects as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
- Several years of progressive financial analysis experience; automotive or manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing costs, including labor, materials, overhead, inventory, and variances.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial reporting or ERP systems.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to explain financial results clearly to both finance and operations teams.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Experience in automotive manufacturing or a Tier 1 or Tier 2 supplier environment.
- Experience with standard costing, cost accounting, and plant-level financial analysis.
- Experience with Workday Financial Management, or another ERP and planning/reporting system.
- CPA, CMA, MBA, or other relevant certification or graduate degree.
