This role focuses on PLC programming, robotic systems, downtime reduction, and automation reliability across robotic welding cells, stamping presses, and tube mills.

CAMACO is seeking a Controls Engineer to support and improve automated manufacturing systems in a high-volume automotive seat frame production facility. This role focuses on PLC programming, robotic systems, downtime reduction, and automation reliability across robotic welding cells, stamping presses, and tube mills.
Key Responsibilities
- Program and troubleshoot PLCs (Allen-Bradley preferred)
- Support robotic systems (Fanuc preferred)
- Maintain HMI systems and industrial networks
- Troubleshoot automation-related downtime and perform root cause analysis
- Support preventive maintenance and OEE improvement initiatives
- Assist with new equipment installation and commissioning
- Maintain electrical schematics and control documentation
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and ISO 14001 environmental standards
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3 years experience in automated manufacturing
- Strong PLC troubleshooting and programming skills
- Experience with robotics and high-speed production equipment
- Ability to read electrical schematics and ladder logic
- 300,000 sq ft automated automotive manufacturing facility
- 160 robotic welding cells
- Stamping presses and tube mills
- Fast-paced, team-driven production environment
