CAM is California’s premier cannabis brand, recognized for producing top-tier products while maintaining a strong operational and compliance-focused culture. We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Human Resources Specialist to support day-to-day HR operations across our growing organization.
This role will focus heavily on payroll administration, employee onboarding/offboarding, personnel records management, benefits coordination, and HR compliance support. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, bilingual in English and Spanish, and comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Process and manage payroll using Gusto
- Administer employee benefits enrollments, changes, and employee support
- Support onboarding, offboarding, and employee status changes
- Maintain accurate employee personnel files and HR documentation
- Ensure employee records remain compliant and up to date
- Support compliance related to California wage and hour laws
- Track employee attendance, timekeeping, and required documentation
- Coordinate new hire paperwork and onboarding procedures
- Respond to employee HR-related questions and requests
- Assist with recruiting, interviewing, and hiring support as needed
- Conduct routine audits of personnel files and HR records
- Maintain confidentiality of employee and company information
- Support HR operations across multiple departments and facilities as needed
Qualifications
- 2 years of Human Resources, payroll, or HR administration experience preferred
- Experience using Gusto payroll and HR systems strongly preferred
- Experience administering employee benefits programs
- Working knowledge of California wage and hour regulations
- Fluent in both English and Spanish required
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in manufacturing, agriculture, warehouse, distribution, or cannabis environments is a plus
- Must be 21 years of age or older
