Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Carpenter/Laborer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of carpentry and labor tasks to support residential and commercial projects. Duties
- Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate project execution.
- Use hand tools, power tools for woodworking, and woodworking machines to cut, shape, and assemble wood and other building materials.
- Perform framing, siding, door hanging, cabinet installation, and trim carpentry with precision and safety.
- Assist with concrete forming, rebar installation, masonry work, roofing, stucco application, and water damage restoration tasks.
- Fabricate custom components and fixtures according to specifications; operate CNC machines when necessary.
- Handle heavy lifting safely while maintaining adherence to power tool safety protocols; support drywall installation, plastering, caulking, flooring installation, tile laying, and remodeling projects.
- Support restoration efforts including mold remediation and water damage repair; assist with siding replacement and fixture installation on residential sites.
Requirements
- Proven construction experience with a strong understanding of residential carpentry and general building practices.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
- Proficiency with hand tools such as saws, hammers, chisels; power tools including drills, saws, sanders; woodworking machines; metal stud framing equipment; CNC machinery is a plus.
- Knowledge of construction estimating processes and familiarity with construction plans is preferred.
- Experience in various trades such as masonry, roofing, framing (including metal studs), drywall finishing, flooring installation, tile laying or remodeling is highly desirable.
- Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting and working at heights or in confined spaces; commitment to safety protocols including power tool safety.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics effectively.
- Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation preferred; previous experience in the restoration industry or handyman services is advantageous.
