CAM Millwork is a custom millwork and cabinetry manufacturer seeking a CAD Designer with AutoCAD experience to support shop drawings and production engineering. This role is ideal for someone who understands how drawings become real, built products and wants to grow into Cabinet Vision and CNC‑driven manufacturing.
This is not a pure drafting role. Your work will directly support fabrication and production.
Key Responsibilities- Create and revise millwork and cabinetry shop drawings using AutoCAD
- Translate architectural and design documents into accurate production drawings
- Coordinate drawings with project managers and production teams
- Review designs for constructability, materials, and efficiency
- Maintain drawing standards and details
- Learn and transition into Cabinet Vision for CNC‑ready engineering (training provided)
- Support continuous improvement of engineering and drafting workflows
- 2 years of AutoCAD experience (millwork, cabinetry, interiors, or construction drawings preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and dimensional accuracy
- Ability to interpret architectural drawings and specifications
- Understanding of how drawings are used in a manufacturing or shop environment
- Organized, reliable, and able to manage multiple projects
- Millwork, cabinetry, or casework experience
- Shop or manufacturing background
- Exposure to CNC production environments
- Any experience with Cabinet Vision (a plus, not required)
- Structured training into Cabinet Vision
- Hands‑on exposure to CNC‑based manufacturing
