We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Construction Manager - Mechanical to lead and oversee complex mechanical construction projects from inception to completion. Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and supervision of mechanical construction activities on site, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets.
- Collaborate closely with project stakeholders—including engineers, contractors, suppliers, and clients—to coordinate project schedules using construction management software such as Primavera P6 and HeavyBid.
- Review and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings related to mechanical systems; ensure accurate implementation on site.
- Manage procurement processes for materials and equipment using construction estimating tools; oversee delivery schedules to prevent delays.
- Monitor safety protocols rigorously across the construction site; conduct regular safety audits and enforce compliance with all safety regulations.
- Oversee subcontractors’ work quality and productivity; facilitate effective communication through project coordination meetings.
- Maintain detailed documentation of project progress, change orders, contracts, and daily reports; utilize tools like ProCore and Bluebeam for efficient record-keeping.
- Ensure proper integration of civil 3D models with construction activities; oversee site layout and installation processes for mechanical components.
Requirements
- Proven experience in mechanical construction management with a strong background in construction site operations.
- Fifteen (15) years of experience managing Government Mechanical Projects
- A Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering or 10 years of experience working as a journeyman pipefitting, plumber, sheet metal worker, or sprinkler.
- Extensive knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, contracts, and technical specifications related to mechanical systems.
- Proficiency in construction management software such as Primavera P6, Primavera P6 Enterprise Project Portfolio Management (EPPM), Bluebeam Revu, ProCore, Civil 3D, HeavyBid or similar tools.
- Demonstrated ability to manage project scheduling, cost estimation, and resource allocation effectively.
- Strong understanding of construction estimating practices and contract administration.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently across multiple projects simultaneously.
- Hands-on experience with construction site safety standards and protocols; commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
- Ability to read technical drawings and schematics accurately; familiarity with building codes and industry regulations is essential.
