Job Summary:
This role will develop dashboards, reports, and automated datasets by extracting and modeling data from SQL databases and internal systems. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and capable of working directly with business stakeholders to understand reporting needs and deliver reliable, easy-to-use reporting tools.
This is not an IT support role — it is a business-facing analytics role focused on solving problems using data.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Analysis & Reporting
· Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports
· Build and maintain datasets sourced from SQL databases
· Create advanced Excel reporting models and templates
· Automate recurring reports and manual processes
· Validate data accuracy and troubleshoot discrepancies
· Analyze trends and provide actionable insights to management
Data Modeling & Database Work
· Write SQL queries to extract and transform data
· Combine data from multiple systems into reporting datasets
· Optimize queries and datasets for performance
· Maintain data definitions and reporting logic documentation
· Support data quality and consistency across departments
Business Collaboration
· Meet with stakeholders to define reporting requirements
· Translate business questions into measurable metrics
· Provide ad-hoc analysis to Accounting, Operations, and Management
· Help departments understand and use dashboards effectively
Process Improvement
· Identify inefficient manual reporting processes and automate them
· Standardize company KPIs and reporting definitions
· Improve reliability and usability of company reporting tools
Required Qualifications:
· 2–5 years in Data Analyst, BI Analyst, or Reporting Analyst role
· Advanced Excel (formulas, pivot tables, lookups, data transformation)
· Power BI report development and visualization design
· SQL querying (joins, aggregations, filtering, basic optimization)
· Strong understanding of relational data concepts
· Ability to interpret data and explain findings clearly
· Strong attention to detail and data validation skills
· Problem-solving mindset
· Experience working with operational or financial datasets
· Experience supporting non-technical business users
· Curious and investigative mindset
· Able to work independently without constant direction
