Plumbing Estimator And Take-Off Specialist

Cam-Ful Industries has an immediate opportunity for a Plumbing Estimator / Take-Off Specialist in our Pineville, North Carolina office. This position supports and reports directly to the Senior Plumbing Estimator.

We are looking for a career-minded individual seeking a long-term opportunity with a growing company. The ideal candidate must be self-motivated, detail-oriented, organized, and able to work accurately in a fast-paced environment. Commercial plumbing, construction, estimating, or similar industry experience and blueprint experience are required.

The ideal candidate will be able to read drawings, specifications, bid manuals and electronic blueprints and perform accurate material and quantity take-offs for commercial plumbing projects. Experience with FastPIPE is preferred.

• Preparing project quantity and material take-offs.

• Reviewing plumbing drawings, specifications bid manuals, and addenda.

• Obtaining and comparing supplier and subcontractor pricing.

• Preparing pricing worksheets, bid summaries, quotes, and proposal documents.

• Monitoring bid progress, due dates, outstanding pricing, clarifications, and required submission documents.

• Identifying missing information, drawing conflicts, and potential scope gaps.

• At least one to two years of experience in commercial plumbing, construction estimating, material take-offs, or a closely related mechanical-construction role.

• Ability to read and understand drawings, specifications, bid manuals and electronic blueprints, plumbing plans, specifications, and construction documents.

• Ability to perform accurate product, material, and quantity take-offs.

• Familiarity with commercial plumbing systems, piping materials, fixtures, valves, fittings, and equipment.

• Strong math, computer, communication, organization, and time-management skills.

• Experience with FastPIPE plumbing estimating and take-off software is preferred but is not required; training will be provided.

• Ability to manage multiple bids and meet firm deadlines.
