CAM Educational Services is an innovative, educational Start-Up, and one of the most prestigious after-school tutoring and Children's Tech programs in the San Francisco Peninsula, now expanding to wider regions in California.

We are a young educational start-up that serves professional and high-level executive families and in partnership with school districts in San Mateo, Burlingame, San Bruno, South San Francisco, Hillsborough, and Millbrae areas to provide enrichment programs for underprivileged families. We serve students ranging from K- to 8th Grader.

We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Afterschool Program Manager to lead and manage our afterschool programs in Central School District. The ideal candidate will have experience in program development, staff supervision, and a passion for working with children. As the Program Manager, you will oversee the planning, implementation, and evaluation of our afterschool activities, ensuring they align with our mission and meet the needs of our students and families.

Key Responsibilities

Program Planning, Implementation and Development:

  • Develop and implement a variety of afterschool activities that are educational, recreational, and culturally enriching. Ensure programs are aligned with the organization’s goals and standards.
  • Meet enrollment targets and operational excellence standards.
  • Assure Transportation & Shift Schedule are efficient and up to date

Staff Management:

  • Help recruit, train, supervise, and support program staff and volunteers. Foster a positive and collaborative team environment
  • Manage class schedules to effectively staff sessions and meet company efficiency and usage targets.
  • Set a clear improvement plan, goal, and target for each team member.
  • Work in a team environment and encourage open communication regarding concerns/issues with children, parents, or coworkers.

Student Engagement:

  • Create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for all students. Address student needs and concerns, promoting their overall well-being and development.
  • Keep a consistent headcount on all children present at the site; communicate changes with all other staffs; maintain accurate documentation of attendance
  • Express clear expectations and hold children accountable for adhering to them.
  • Help children to develop positive self-esteem and sense of self-worth.
  • Ensure that children’s homework is being properly corrected by secondary staff and required assistance effectively provided.
  • Consistently demonstrate and reinforce the values of caring, respect, honesty, and responsibility.

Parent and Community Relations:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with parents, guardians, and community partners. Communicate regularly with parents about program activities, student progress, and any concerns.
  • Positively ID parents before releasing children (picture ID necessary until you can personally identify them)
  • Introduce yourself to parents and communicate with them regularly regarding program information such as schedule changes or activities.
  • Conduct conferences with parents and students to review progress, adjust academic plans, and renew enrollments.
  • Conduct conferences or facilitate onsite tours with prospective clients to review their child’s needs and deliver new enrollments for CAM’s programs and services.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local schools and business communities and actively participate in community events as a CAM representative.

Budget Management:

  • Manage the program’s budget, including planning, monitoring expenses, and ensuring resources are used effectively.
  • Maintain all supplies, equipment, and materials—inform the central office when new/additional supplies are needed.
  • Assure accurate distribution and accounting of snacks

Safety, Cleanliness and Compliance:

  • Ensure a safe and secure environment for all participants. Comply with all local, state, and federal regulations, as well as organizational policies.
  • Assist in maintaining clean-up schedules; including janitorial duties necessary to maintain the cleanliness of the school facility.
  • Ensure that all staff and children are respectful of school property; ensure all school rules are followed.

Program Evaluation:

  • Continuously assess program effectiveness and make improvements as needed. Collect and analyze data to report on program outcomes and impact.
  • Help develop and execute local marketing activities, as well as company wide marketing programs.
  • Quarterly Report w/ program improvement plan to Director

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Education, Child Development, Social Work, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.

Experience:

  • 6 years of experience in program management, preferably in an educational or afterschool setting.
  • Experience in recruiting, leading, and developing effective teams

Other Competencies:

  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and experience with program management software.
  • Understanding of the local school system
  • Bilingual in any language will be a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google applications

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $56,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
