Job Responsibilities & Duties:
The primary function of this position is to serve our repair customer base by evaluating their jewelry repair needs, educating them on the repair process, and ensuring the best possible product is returned to the customer.
Some of the duties you will perform include:
· Cleaning & inspecting customers’ jewelry
· Evaluating needs & educating customers on their individual repairs. Accurately quoting prices, scheduling repairs, & ensuring successful, on-time delivery to customers
· Maintaining rigorous quality control, ensuring all work aligns with shop standards before delivery
· Providing shop support by installing watch batteries or polishing items, etc.
· Communicating w/ customers over the phone for estimates, updates, etc. related to their repairs
· Buying gold and silver
· Working directly w/ jewelers to add jobs into the work queue & support their workflow by ensuring deadlines are met
· Supporting sales staff associates on the floor assisting customers as needed, coordinating sales staff lunches, & overseeing projects
· Managing Jewelers Mutal Care Plan service work & the documentation necessary for reimbursement
· Strictly follow current processes & procedures - analyze & create new processes to improve efficiency
· Ensure all jobs are logged, tracked, & communicated appropriately across internal systems
· Follow-up with repair customers after completion for satisfaction survey
· Identify & route work to outside service providers when necessary – following strict guidelines and procedures
Requirements / Qualifications:
Ideal Candidate Background
· Experience managing jewelry service operations or repair workflows preferred
· Experience handling high-end, delicate, or high-value items strongly valued
· Excellent communication, time management, problem solving skills
· Proven ability to lead teams in high-volume, detail-driven environments
· Comfortable enforcing policies, standards and procedures
· Jewelry repair experience is a plus but not required
· Valid driver’s license required
· A team player
· Superior attention to detail
· Professional Attire & Appearance
· Strong process orientation with excellent organizational skills
· Willing to contribute by assisting and performing other duties as assigned
· A flexible schedule to accommodate retail store hours including weekends & holidays
