Job Summary:
The Chief Medical Officer leads clinical and quality initiatives that support the provision of consistent clinical performance and practice standards across the hospital; facilitates the analysis of quality performance and prioritization improvement opportunities; provides senior level leadership to the infection control, risk management, safety, and medical staff credentialing functions ensuring the collaboration and coordination of all stakeholders in these processes; and consults on an array of issues involving physicians.
Education:
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO), Required
Master's degree in business or related field, Preferred
10 years of experience in clinical practice, Preferred
Experience as a CMO (or equivalent) in large, complex hospi9tal or regional health system, required

Position requires 1-2 years related experience.
Other Requirements:
Maintains unit-specific and hospital competencies, mandatory learning, and any clinical certifications required in accordance with the Staff Education and Training policy GA-057 and/or any other department requirements.
Must maintain active clinical privileges at Calvert Health Medical Center. Must be in good standing and in compliance with medical staff membership requirements.
Maintain Board Certification
Current DEA Licensure
Remain in good standing with Medicare and Medicaid
